Julie Anne Smith, A.K.A. Julianne is a Hollywood actor, writer and best-selling novelist. Her skills have earned her recognition across the world. She's the daughter of a Sagittarius born on the 3rd of December 1960 in North Carolina. She is oldest among three siblings, born to Peter Moore Smith who was a paratrooper. Her mother Anne works as a psychotherapist. She has English as well as Scottish heritage. Her father was an professional and often moved her family. She had a difficult time making or maintaining friends. Moore's family relocated into Germany and she went to Frankfurt American High School, in which her first roles were on stage in plays. Her education continued at Boston University where she graduated in 1983 with B.F.A. in Theater. Moore started her theater career off-Broadway in New York, after she had graduated. Her first appearance was in an episode of The Edge of Night, which was telecast on the network in 1985. The following year, she took on the dual roles of Frannie and Sabrina Hughes in As the World Turns, which was her breakthrough. It ran through 1988, and she won the Daytime Emmy Award. The year 1990 saw her first cinematic appearance was in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie. This film was later criticized as a poor budget production. Short Cuts (1997) and 3 Women (1993), both Robert Altman productions, were her debut films. Moore received numerous nominations and acclaim for the debut film. Moore had her first major performance in Safe, a 1995 film. Steven Spielberg, who was director of Jurassic Park: The Lost World in 1997 and one of the highest grossing movies, cast Moore as the main actor. The actress received an SAG nomination in 1999 for the role she was in Magnolia, a critically acclaimed film. In 2002, she starred alongside her co-stars in The Hours which got nominated for nine Academy Awards with Nicole Kidman and Meryl Streep. Moore has also starred in The Forgotten (2004), Freedomland 2006, Shelter 2010, etc. She was also in Non-Stop (2014). Moore was a regular on many films and television shows. Moore has appeared in several TV and film shows. She was most recently seen in In When You Finish Save the World 2022. The actress has established herself on the screen in Hollywood as well as being a children's author. She published her first book Freckleface Strawberry in 2007 and was a N.Y.T. bestseller, which led to the adaptation into a novel and musical. Moore also published My Mom is Foreigner, a memoir in 2013. Moore lives a flamboyant life as an accomplished writer and actress. Moore married John Robin back in 1984 The couple split in 1996. Bart Freundlich is the father of two of her children. Moore's world revolves around her friends, career and family.
